Software Support

The ProDesk will support all software listed on the Software Download page provided that the software is installed on a computer that meets our minimum requirements and has one of the following operating systems:

  • Windows 7 or Later
  • MacOS 10.9 (Mavericks), 10.10 (Yosemite), 10.11 (El Capitan)

Operating System Upgrades

The IITS ProDesk does not support new operating system releases until we can confirm that all of our software and services run properly. If you have questions in regards to whether an upgrade is right for your needs, contact ProDesk and they can advise.

Do NOT, under any circumstance, upgrade a lab or classroom computer to a new OS, as this can make or break the software versions installed.

IITS may upgrade computers when clean installations are completed on all public computers during each semester break.

Pre-Installed Software

IITS provides college-issued computers for full-time, permanent faculty and staff positions at the College.  Please see the list of included software by selecting your office computer:

Software for Personally-Owned Computers

Certain software is available for use on personally owned computers for the duration of time that you’re an active member of the Haverford College community. See Software Downloads.


Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) for Mac and PC is now available to Haverford students through the College’s license agreement. This is a new feature of Haverford’s agreement with Microsoft and was just recently made available to us.

Faculty and Staff
